Synopsis

Album Description

2008 twenty five CD box set from the Scottish Rock/New Wave band, documenting their developing sound, ideas and ideals through the music and design of their classic twelve inch single releases. Each of the Themes boxes contain five discs that highlight a certain period in their career and are arranged chronologically. Each CD EP features tracks from an original vinyl single release and includes the remixes, B-sides and more. The five CD digi boxes are all packaged together in one 2mm thick lift off lid box. Themes Volumes 1 - 4 were originally released in 1990 and deleted in 1993. The newly compiled fifth box (also available separately) contains singles released post 1990. The artwork for sets 1-4 is all re-created from the original Themes volumes incorporating details from the original 12" designs. Volume 5 will be an appropriate new additional to the Themes artwork scheme. EMI.
