CD ReviewsOustanding, even though it is too short. Darren Cooper (dcooper1@purdue.edu) | West Lafayette, Indiana, United States | 03/31/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "I have had this CD since 1993. I had to have my Mother's pen pal buy it for me in England and ship it over here for me, since it was not available in the states then. She ended paying the equivalent of fifty bucks and I had to wait at least three months. It was WORTH the wait. This CD is essentially my prize possession--it is that good. The best track is the third one "Protocol." This album is a drumming tour de force and is a must have for any drummer or otherwise serious musician. I cannot reccomend it enough. I just wish it were longer." Modern drumming at its Best Darren Cooper (dcooper1@purdue.edu) | 11/11/1998 (5 out of 5 stars) "Simon Phillips does a knock up job on this one. I once talked to Simon and he told me that this was originally a sort of demo that he sent used to try and get a record deal and when the company heard it they wanted to go with it as is. Probably my favorite Phillips tune 'Protocol' is a drum masterpiece. Simon plays all of the instruments on this CD. The sonic quality is outstanding. Rumor has it that there were virtually no clicktracks used in the recording. This is really a great CD, although it is a bit short." A must have for any drummer Darren Cooper (dcooper1@purdue.edu) | 06/30/1998 (5 out of 5 stars) "The sound is amazing and the virtuosity of the composer is overwhelming. A must have for any serious drummer"
