Better than Karajan's

"D.S's 10th is still a rare meeting, both in digital and live, despite the personal history the composer wrote into it. After Karajan's (with BP) widely acclaimed performance (in Gold) and many other's views of the excellency of the symphony the work still "suffers" a certain lack of competing interpretations. Here we have the articulation from the old guard wich surpasses the rest (the tops being Järvi and Jansons). Sanderling's french version manages to be analytic and argumentative as it is dramatic and sometimes even melodramatic. Away is Karajan's pompous soundwall as Järvi's and Janson's sterility. Highly recommendable!
