"I've only listened to this a couple of times, but I am very impressed! My comparison is the fine DePreist on Delos. My only complaint about that is in an effort to get a wide dynamic range in that recording, the soft parts are so quiet, that to hear them, the volume must be cranked so high so that my speakers threaten to blow during the loud passages! Anyway, Jordania is recorded ok, but his music making is exceptional. He makes this formidable piece almost user-friendly! For example, the second movement flies by at a great clip, but loses none of the color or drama. The Royal Phil plays as if possessed. Work every penny!"
