"I heard this in a remote Scottish isle tea house. It makes me want to get on a table and dance a jig. This would be a sight since I don't know the first thing about jigs. This music may just inspire me to learn. The last time I had the experience of "wow this band could be huge if they got any air play," I was one of 25 people in a little bar in Minneapolis listening to Sheryl Crow."

"I picked this up while visiting Scotland and have about worn the CD out. A totally different sound. Not only is the music great but I happened to run into the Fiddler, Ivan, in a pub on Skye. It was pleasure to meet him. I definitely recommend this one."
With a name like "Shooglenifty" it's gotta be good.

"I had the chance to hear this band live at the Vancouver Folk Festival in 1997. I cannot describe the uplifting feeling this music brings, but I will say that I saw a 90-year old woman jump right out of her chair and dance the jig when they came on stage. Their music is fast, complex, smooth and incredibly fun. Shooglenifty is one of the world's all-time greatest bands. Someday the world will recognize this, if only because listening to them makes you smile."
