"This is a marvelous piece of work! Singer/songwriter Shelly wrote or co-wrote 9 of the 10 tracks and it shows in the "feel for the music" that is so evident in the listening of track after track. Here's another of those albums where it's hard to pick favorites because they're all so good, and I really mean that. There's music here for any country fan, from the pure Texas two-steppin' fiddle playin' "Purple Bows", to the traditional sounding "Broken Dreams", to the very contemporary sounding "White Lace, Promises." I'll tell you though, in addition to the 3 mentioned above, I'll put "I Wanna Rock", "Hurricane", "Go Down Swingin' ", and "Mama Done Told Me" on my Favorite Songs list. That's 7 of the 10 tracks. Friends, when someone puts out an album that adds 70% of it's songs to MY favorites list, we're talking a H--- of an album!!! Don't forget to check Shelly's web site for details on her second album, "Tell Me Something I Don't Know." It's another must have!! Doug Morris, IMAG, indiemusicgroup.com"

"Shelly has never sought stardom, having put her marriage and family first. By so doing, she sacrificed any chance of gaining widespread recognition for her talent, although she probably has a happier and more contented life than many big names.Shelly wrote or co-wrote all but one of the songs (and that one, I wanna rock, may be an original song written for her), and she has a strong, clear voice, well suited to the upbeat, rocking songs which dominate this album.Looking at Shelly's website, I see that a second album was released in 2001, but it's not been as widely distributed as this one. If you are lucky enough to get the chance, I imagine that Shelly's live shows could be quite exciting. If you are looking for an upbeat modern country album by an exciting lady, look no further - you will enjoy this album."

"Listenening to this Album several times in a row made me feel surprised more and more. The most songs are played up-tempo and that's what we like, something real fresh. Sometimes I can hear country stars from the early days like Connie Smith on "Purple Bows" and Ann Murray on "Go Down Swinging" or am I mistaking?? "Broken Dreams" is my absolute favourite on this album. I think Shelly made it already in the US, and she can make it in Europe also if you she stay's on the same level. If that's so, Shelly Streeter gained one fan here. I will play this album many times in my show, Country Line. But I hope to hear a lot more from Shelly Streeter."
