Republic vs the rest

"I have all the sHEAVY albums,and I have to say at first I was disapointed with the Republic CD,it seemed a little more modern then the rest,a bit like Sabbath's 1st album Black Sabbath vs Electric sleep,quite similar in all respects,then as you progress through the rest of the albums there is that same transition,sure Sabbath produced more albums,but in the end I was thinking that Republic was reminiscent to Technical Ecstasy.



I listened to Republic a few more times,and instead of thinking of it as a farewell album (Technical Ecstasy) I realised that these guys had found their feet,the new sound was better clearer and by far the better of all the other albums.



I also have the DVD,Republic and I just have to say this Steve Hennessy has no on stage presence,he needs to work on that area no doubt whatsoever,failing that the band as a whole could have a huge future,I don't think trying to shake the Sabbath tag they are labeled with would work,rather than the record companies must recognize them as an individual band,that just happens to sound like Sabbath.



I think most will agree that Sabbath died when Ozzy left,and sHEAVY are a fantastic fix for those craving new Sabbath music,I wonder what would happen should Toni Iommi scoop up Hennessy.
