"I heard his song " gravity " on the radio and ever since I wanted to know more about this artist. I just got the cd today and it's totally a huge blessing. God used this artist in a huge way to transform a fresh and new prescence of Him. The song
" beautiful " and " don't walk away " are totally awesome. As soon as you start to listen to this cd in your room and just close your eyes you immediately feel something beautiful. I gave this cd 5 star because the guitar play is very good, the vocals and rhythm both rock. If you like Jason Upton, you will definately like Shawn Mcdonald. Thank you Jesus for such a great piece of work."

"I am very impressed by the album. Both the music & the lyrics are obviously inspired and not just thrown together to make a buck. I bought the album for a specific song I'd heard on the radio, but I have found the entire album to be filled with wonderful music that honors our God & our ears! Thanks!"
This CD is definitely worth your attention

"I find that a lot of loud music, (Christian or not) just doesn't hit the spot for me. Occasionally I'll come across an artist who sparks my interest with one or two songs. Shawn McDonald sparked my interest immediately with "Take this Life," and "Have You Ever." This guy is singing and playing to inspire others, change their lives and bring them closer to God. His music is real, sincere, and doesn't have to blast your ears off to impress you; rather, he'll impress you with his lyrics, story, and beautiful guitar work. I love the guitar work on "Have You Ever," and "Open Me." If anybody wants the guitar tab for Shawn McDonald check out www.christianguitar.org I plan to post the tab for "Have You Ever" there sometime soon as an effort to spread music as great as this.

"This is a great album. I am not one to exaggerate. I put this cd in my car two weeks ago and haven't yet tired of it. His lyrics really remind you of what an amazing God we serve. I am so thankful that there is someone out there like me who hasn't had a glistening clean life but finally gave their heart over to Christ and has true peace. This album will inspire you, and in this world we need all the help we can get."
Beautiful, Acoustic and Soulful Debut

"This CD is so beautiful to listen to, and very impressive both musically and in a faith inspiring way. Shawn projects emotion that is both real and mature for such a young artist. I typically like one-off's from various Christian artists, but this is honestly the first time I've been so inspired by one artist as to buy their CD versus a compilation of top hit songs. There is not a song on this CD that I don't like, but I particularly like track 4, 5, and 8 as well as the often-played track 2, Gravity. Soothe your aching soul...listen to this CD!"
