"I had not heard from Shanice in years. I recall some of her previous songs being modest in appeal. Of course when she released "I love your smile" it was great surprise. Everyone in America and in many overseas areas loved it and kept it #1. After many years of being out of the chart spotlight, Shanice has reemerged more sophisticated and outstanding (in 1999). Her first single "When I close my eyes" is fantastic to say the least. She has done a wonderful job of showing her range and pop appeal. She has broken a chart record by moving from #96 to #16 (approximately). Regardless of the exact number, that type of chart success is unmatched. Shanice is destined to make this album a hit. Go out and get this album, you will not be disappointed. Other songs like "Yesterday" really show the depth of talent that Shanice has. Her vocal variety is unmatched. Her idea to work with LaFace Records is probably the best career move she has ever made!"
