"I will never understand how talent like this gets overlooked. I fell in LOVE with this album with immediately. This probably has something to do with the fact Shane seems to be channeling Neil Finn's (formerly of Spilt Enz, Crowded House) voice, and Neil is my one of my all-time heros. Regardless of that, Shane has created this album, all by his lonesome, and has perfectly demonstrated that he is a singer/songwriter who can stand on his own merits. From start to finish this is a beautiful, warm and soothing CD. Casey Chambers gives Shane a hand with "Designed to Fade" and their voices work seamlessly together. I saw them both live (I found Shane's CD first and tracked down a show later) and they did not disappoint. Shane did a solo acoustic set and blew me away with his keen ability to convey what he recorded in the studio. Never having heard Casey before, I was pleasantly surprised with her talent as well. This is a MUST HAVE CD!"

"It is hard to describe how excellent this album is. There is definately a sameness quality- It's all GREAT!
Ignore the reviews that claim this album doesn't have enough variation...the variations are subtle and sublime. Genius....
If you love Crowded House/ Finn Bros. you must have this album...I am driving down the road with the sun coming up over the ocean...and LIFE IS A MOVIE with this album cranked up!!!!"
Buy if you like Crowded House/Neil Finn

"Nicholson's vocal similarity to Neil Finn (both solo and with Crowded House) is uncanny, and the song structures are similar, too. This is a good thing, if you're like me and can't get enough Crowded House/Finn. However, Nicholson's songs aren't quite as interesting---yet. The sound and the hooks are there, but there is a sameness to the songs that he never quite breaks out of. Still, a very listenable and enjoyable record, which bodes well for his next release."
A must buy for Neil Finn fans

"To say that this is a must buy for Neil Finn fans is to shortchange Shane Nicholson, who has come up with an excellent album, but I'll still say it: if you like Neil Finn, you'll really like this. It has a charm and appeal of its own, is melodic, and enjoyable, and -- OK -- is pretty much guaranteed to appeal to any Neil Finn fans."
