"I've always adored Shakira for the boisterousness and vociferousness that she imports into her music. Be it "Whenever Wherever" or "La Tortura",her music combined with appealing lyrics have always sent a thrill of pleasure and liveliness down my feet and her latest sensational single,"Hips Don't Lie",released from the new album "Oral Fixation Vol.2" and featuring Wyclef Jean is no exception. Shakira lets loose her vibrant music and is so charming in her tone and rhythm. Shakira has really come a long way in becoming a real Latin pop diva and the Colombian singer is surely a big thing in the pop music industry. She looks so killing and sensuous in the video of the song too. "Hips Don't Lie" is another jewel for any pop music lover's treasure closet."
Best Song Of The Year

"To everyone who gave this song a bad review, are you deaf!?! This version is far superior to Claudettes version. not only is it sung better, but the lyrics are better, the production is better, its easier to dance to, and its the bigegst song of the year! this song has made history, and for good reason. One of shakira's many sides, it shows her shaking her hips to an uptempo latin beat, and has caused this song to explode worldwide, becomming the bbiggest worldwide hit of the year.
Better luck next time claudette!"
Not the best of Shaki's, but anyway it ROCKS!

"this song is very good but i dont like wycleff in it. i think he spoils the song that shakira is singing!! its lyrics are a bit strange but they dont have to be great lyrics do they ? espiecally when you've got a great voice like shakiras when it doesnt matter wether the songs good or not she just rocks every song she sings !!i love this songs rythym and beat and everythin and thats why i went out and bought it but i can see why other people dont like it !!!"

"It's such a catchy song, I'm not surprised that someone remade it. Shakira does this cover fairly well, with one of the original singers (Wyclef did this song in a slightly different way with Claudette Ortiz). It's a little faster and just as catchy - a real ear worm. I like her vocals in it; he sounds just the same as the original, but I don't like the change in some of the lyrics.
Overall, it's a good ear worm that doesn't let go easily. You'll be singing and bopping along to it because it's fairly infectious."
