"Sergey Kuryokhin is unequivocally one of the most influential and remarkable Russian composers and pianists of the 20th century. This CD represents a reissue of his solo piano works originally recorded in Leningrad (St.Petersburg) in 1981. Kuryokhin tragically died in 1996 from myxoma of heart at the age of 42 but his music will live and please serious listeners through centuries. If you like Cecil Taylor and avanguard jazz in general-this CD is a must. The reason I took off the 5th star from it is the mediocre quality of the recording itself"
