"Serge Lama is a composer, poet and singer and with the help of some various french female singers he re-recorded some of his biggest hits. The result is Pluri Elles which features songs that i would call little pieces of lives.... Opening with Je Voudrais tant Que tu Sois La with Annie Girardot, a very gifted french actress from the 60's/70's but also daring singing Femme Femme Femme with L5 (finalists girl band of Pop Star, the French American Idol) and singing with Lara Fabian too, just to name a few.
The most moving song is Je Suis Malade in duet with the late Dalida. Knowing that she took her life few years ago plus the poignant lyrics make it hard to keep dry eyes. Une Petite Cantate, the only song on this album not written by Serge Lama but Barbara (parisienne chanteuse deceased too) is sung in duet with Marie Paule Belle (who actually did a tribute album to Barbara). The music is great but it is true that if you do not understand french the pleasure will not be as intense...for these words are just beautiful."
