"So, of course, i'm a little bias considering that these guys are from my hometown, but in all honesty, they're really good. They have a sound that could be compared to SoCo or TSL, but with a more NorCal flavor. All the songs are REALLY catchy, and you'll be singing along in no time. It's good to know that in a world of gimic crap and trends, there are still a few bands that want to do honest pop-rock the way it should be. The guitars, drums, vocals, everything comes together for a tight, well-crafted sound.



For far too long, cities like San diego and Chicago have been getting all the attention for quality pop-punk, but Sacto has some of the best undiscovered talent out there.



Support new artists from the 9-1-6, and be on the lookout for a full-length coming early next year!"

"For these guys only being a band for about a year, they have certainly done a lot.Their EP "Take It How You Want It" posseses some very key elements that most debut EP's lack. Jonathan's vocals have a range that rivals bands such as Motion City Soundtrack and Fall Out Boy. For an EP, the sound quality is fantastic, Jay Trammell is a true genious producer/engineer. Overall a great album, expect to see big things from these guys."

"Wholesome sunny pop-rock emo. It's not particularly creative or original, but something about this music seems genuine to me, like they're just playing what sounds good to them with little regard for scenes or trends. They're writing good tunes, they know what they're doing, and they're not trying to be something they're not, so I kinda like this band. I'd definitely like it more if it wasn't so horribly overproduced though. The raw crunch of a rock guitar would really benefit this kind of music. The light, feathery, droney reverb does these songs a complete disservice. Speechless is the stand-out track, sounding like it could have been an outtake from The Juliana Theory's album Emotion Is Dead. "You give yourself away to everyone and now there's nothing left for you". I dare you not to sing along."
