As good as ever

"well i'm the hugest Seekers fan ever so i'll try not to let this review sound biased!! This recording just shows how much The Seekers incorporate their 'old' sound with their new. Judith's voice is strong, yet soft, and full of colour...she puts a lot of feeling into her music. New, up-beat sounds like Gotta Love Someone really get you dancing! and the touching lyrics of such as Guardian Angel/Guiding Light is done in a simplistic, harmonious way that brings tears to the eyes every time. If you're looking for good, pure music, and beautiful harmonies, BUY THIS CD! it's so worth the money. an 18-yr-old New Zealander"
AN UNEXPECTED DISCOVERY

"Recently, after spinning my vinyl copy of the "Best of the Seekers", I commented to my wife that next to Ronnie Gilbert of the Weavers, I thought Judith Durham was the best female vocalist I ever heard. My comments prompted me to look her up on the internet in the hopes of finding out what she might be doing these days. Much to my amazement, I discovered that the Seekers had gotten back together in the early 90's and had recorded this album of new material in 1997. I wasted no time in ordering this CD. Simply stated, this is a masterpiece. Not a weak cut on the whole CD. Here is a group that has not lost it one iota. Aside from the title cut, my favorite cut is "It's Hard to Leave." Here is one of the most poignant "goodbye" songs you will ever hear. Sorry to hear that the group has gone their seperate ways again but this is a CD I will treasure forever from one of my all time favorite groups."
A great disk by a re-established folk group.

"If you are a Seekers fan, it is unlikely you will be disappointed with this disk. Judith Durham is back and she, and the whole gang, sounds as great as ever. Includes some pop classics (It Doesn't Matter Anymore) and some Australian specific cuts (The Bush Girl). The recordings are high quality, the style lively. I'm glad they're back."

"It was sure interesting to hear what the Seekers would sound like after all those years with a new release.
To hear her voice with the boys again was a real treat.
Judiths voice here is her usual golden style, and i like all of the songs here.I think "Speak To The Sky" is a favourite of mine. But there is many good songs to choose from. They have a Buddy Holly song here as well with "It Doesn't Matter Anymore".
"Shores of Avalon" is a great song also, she is an awsome singer.
The way she can reach any note and it just realy hits the spot.
Alot of singers of today need to try any trick to get a hit single, but she relies on just her talent.
Its interesting to compare the modern sound of the Seekers here to the old songs of the 60's.And it is fortunate they all got together again.
There is another release called "Morningtown Ride To Christmas" which was released in 2000,which is also interesting to hear them in a modern studio. It has some xmas songs as well as some gospel songs thrown in the mix,and i suggest you get that one as well.
Today the Seekers have gone their own ways. But there is certainly alot of good music to reflect on.And this is no exception."
Future Road shows The Seekers are still growing and sharing.

"The Seekers "Future Road" album is the most mature, meaningful, spiritual journey of music that one could ever hope to hear! The music and lyrics bring home to the listener basic truths about the road of life, and the whole album moved my heart and spirit to the point of making me sit up and really listen. There is not a bad cut on this album; they have created, and shared, a view of life's road at the point in the journey where spirit and heart matter more to those of us to whom the journey itself matters. Thank you so very much, Judith, Keith, Bruce and Athol!"
