"A fabulous recording containing interpretations of ancient music (yes! We do have actual musical scores from ancient times). Some may quibble with his interpretations and with the large majority of songs for which we don't have the original scores, but he has done a brave and credible job here. Bravo!"

"I recently bought several CDs dealing with ancient music from several places around the Mediterranean, and this is definitely the best. It features a few songs that are actually from ancient Greece and many of the other pieces are to ancient Greek lyrics and using their scale system, with music extrapolated as best it could from what would fit using those constraints. And authentic instruments are used throughout.The Greek-English booklet goes deep into information about the music, tho it's written in a very academic style (it assumes you know a lot of terminology which a lot of people who don't already know much about ancient Greek music might not know)."
