CD Reviews

A worthy final bow from this great fusionband
Bodhi Heeren | Copenhagen | 02/19/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"In their relatively short career this wonderful and adventurous Danish fusion band produced 4 diverse and mindblowing albums. When they got around to their fourth album inner tensions, hectic touring schedules and slightly fading popularity had taken their toll.

Keyboardwizard Kenneth Knudsen had started playing with some popular Danish hitmakers and also started forming a band with famed trumpetist Palle Mikkelborg, and was soon to leave the band. None the less their final album is brimming with great music. Here is straight rock, intricate fusion, meditative passages. And as always some fine, fine soloing from Knudsen and the psychedelic guitarist Claus Bohling.

As with the other Laser's Edge re-releases we get some bonustracks and some insightful comments from the band's matermind, saxplayer Karsten Vogel.

The band reformed in 2007 with Bohling and Vogel, so perhaps this wasn't their swansong afterall"
