"I enjoyed the last two albums, I like this one even more. There is a definite evolution in his sound. This is an excellent album that I highly recommend."
From a Relationship to Self Realizations

"well this was a change from John's last album "A Twist In My Story" which was about getting in, through, and out of a relationship. But "Hear Me Now" is totally about self awareness about your own being - that there are bads and goods (pro's and con's) about him/yourself as a human. There will be forgiveness - to me - is the basic line that pops in my head when i listen to the album. So far it is the best yet and i can't wait to see what else Secondhand Serenade will create."
A Twist in his Sound

"While I fell in love with the earnest sound and simple acoustic stylings of John's first album, I have to admit I did not expect to like the edgier tracks I knew were coming on Here Me Now. However, I get the sense that John intentionally parted ways with his former musical tendencies and through this effort, has proven his harmonies work flawlessly regardless of the backdrop. The music is more mature, but the sincerity and passion we all loved on his first two albums is still there."
