The Best of all their Greatest Hits

"After listening to this one, I agree with the other reviewers: this has become my STANDARD for all the Searchers'greatest hits that circulate around, import or US made. I am not going to comment further on the band than what has been stated: Liverpudlians with a similar pattern of honing their skills in Hamburg as their cohorts, The Beatles: they rivaled them in their short top- 40 existence albeit multiple personnel changes and squabbles over names/rights. (Bassist Tony Jackson who sang lead with the group for a couple of years, died on August of 2003 with arthritis and liver cirrhosis...).
Let's summarize the main points:
a) this CD is superbly remastered onto SACD in true original Stereo. Thank you very much! It sounds great!
b) the price represents a very good value.
c) the liner notes are succinct and relevant.
d) Tony Hatch participated in their growth and taped/ mixed them in stereo (something not done in the early days with producers Mickey Most or Shel Talmy).
e) their songs, close harmonies and guitar riffs might give you "needles and pin..zas"!
The ONLY ONE you should invest in to augment your discography of the British Invasion."

"I'm a big fan of the 60's British groups. This Searchers SACD is right on the mark. All my favorite hits are here plus some that I had not heard of. The sound quality is an A Plus. It sounds like I am sitting right in the studio. This version is now my favorite."
By Far the Best Searchers CD

"Remastered by Steve Hoffman (he did all those great DCC gold CDs), this is by far the best sounding Searchers CD. All tracks are true stereo, from the original Pye master tapes. And all the hits are here. Stay away from the 2002 "Best of" (on which all the tracks, except one, are mono). Even on a regular CD player (this is an SACD hybrid, that plays on regular and SACD players), the sound is phenomenal."
