CD ReviewsFresh Perspective on Contrmporary Soft Pop Mark Hayes | Indiana, USA | 05/21/2001 (4 out of 5 stars) ""Live the Dream" is Scott Lindley's first full-length CD and like a lot of first-leases, it been in the works for over five years. In that time, Scott's musical interests and influences have expanded but his lyric-driven contemporary soft pop core has continued to gel. "Live the Dream" contains everything from winsome autobiographical ballads like The Question and Caped Crusaders to upbeat synthesizer pop tunes like Wishing That You Were Mine. Scott also throws in a political and economic wake-up call in the form of American Colonies but manages to soften the CD up a bit with the inspirational title track Live the Dream. Scott also infuses down to earth Mid-Western sensabilities and imagery throughout the CD. My personal favorite piece from the CD was the song Awakening which showcases Scott's talent for arrangement as he delicately blends piano and horns to create a deceptively simple yet beautiful melody. "Live the Dream" should satisify anyone looking for a fresh perspective on wholesome, lyrical, yet contemporary soft pop."
