An Exploration/Meditation on the meaning of loss and longing and the Veils which seperate us from each other and from deeper(spiritual) dimensions of reality.Ultimately "Mourning" is about the fufillment of our dreams through the intimacy and depth that this longing brings... The soundscapes are gorgeous,the instrumentals meditative yet intense and emotional.All of the music involves real time looping and improvisation which give it an immediacy and personalness not often present in Ambient music.The fact that 90% of the music is performed on fretless electric bass is an added wonderment.But,this is not neccessary to know.The music stands on it's own,drawing comparisons to Aphex Twins classic Ambient Works II.
