The debut album from worship leader Scott King is finally available. Combining rock foundations with the melodic sensibilities of modern pop, "One" manages to be profound and fun at the same time. The first track, "It's not About Me", grooves along with a straight-ahead rock beat and masterful guitar work by sideman Josh Fisher, while the lyrics point us toward centering our lives around the Father rather than ourselves. The worshipful ballad "Kingdom Come" (penned by fellow worship leader Wes Grayson) provides a nice change of pace with its yearning lyrics and haunting musical backdrop. Overall, this album is definitely a must-buy for 2007.
