Scooter is the best techno Americans have never heard.

"I think it is a shame that Scooter has never gotten airplay on American radio stations. This German techno group is awesome!
"Rough and Tough and Dangerous" is basically Scooter's greatest hits CD. It has all of Scooter's best songs -- except one. "Faster, Harder Scooter" isn't on it. In my opinion, "Faster, Harder Scooter" ties with "Fire" as Scooter's best song. With that omission aside, "Rough and Tough and Dangerous" is an album I STRONGLY recommend."
An awesome look at the evolution of Scooter

"I first heard of scooter while traveling through Europe in 1996. I was staying with a family in a small town in Germany. Their son and I were talking about the different kinds of music we like. He starts listing off a bunch of German groups I had never heard of with names I didn't understand except for "Scootah". The next thing you know, I'm getting my first taste of hardcore European techno. Back in the states, after hearing them in countless mixes, this was the first Scooter album I purchased. Incredible. You really get a feel for how they evolved over the years in their music and hear some really great hardcore dance tracks. They covered a slew of Billy Idol tracks in this time span, doing them some serious hardcore justice! If you are a Scooter fan already or are just getting into them, this is a great set to start with. If you like Scooter, Blumchen (Jasmine) might be worth listening to. Definitely not as good, poppy at times, but she's got some similar flavor."

"If you are any sort of a raver you would give a lot of... stuff to get this cd. They keep the beat pumping and the vocals are nothing to be compared to. I love this stuff and you will too!"
