Superb recording

"I have listened to these recordings several times over the past month. My appreciation and admiration increases with each listening. I find little to criticize in terms of the interpretation and the musicianship of these performances by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales led by Tadaaki Otaka. The studio accoustics are alive, the audio production is suberb. So I am puzzled (and irritated) by Villegem's peevish and stingy assessment which appears to reflect his idiosyncratic tastes, not the merits of this recording. We have all heard abysmal recordings that deserve a grade of "1" - this is not one of them."
