Product DescriptionALBUM DESCRIPTION:
The legendary Savoy Brown are nothing less than a Blues-Rock institution. Helmed by guitarist Kim Simmonds, who founded the band in 1966, Savoy Brown were among those musicians and bands that launched the British Blues-Rock movement, exporting it back to its country of origin, in the process drawing warranted attention to the originators of the Blues, while also paving the way for future colossal acts such as Led Zeppelin. In 1981, Savoy Brown released Rock & Roll Warriors, their first album in four years. Ralph Mormon, formerly of the Joe Perry Project, provided suitably stuck-up, teen-angst vocals against a hard driving backup featuring bassist John Humphrey, drummer Keith Boyce and rhythm guitarist Barry Paul. Later that year the band unleashed the blandly titled by wildly exciting Greatest Hits Live In Concert. Both albums are now available on this fine 2CD set.
