"First let me say this to all who read the review a few lines up. Sash is not Techno, and NOT POP techno. IT IS -- Progressive House.Sash is one of the artists who helped define progressive house. This is a GREAT progressive house record... Most of these songs got play on many dance floors (including mine) when they came out... and some still do from time to time... Ecuador, Encore Une Fois (an anthem). They are great to listen to as well. Check out his follow up record "Life Goes On," (better than the first) and the new single "Adelante!" It gets played regularly on my turntables... 4-500 people nightly in my current club. "
One of my favorite trance albums

""It's My Life" is one of my personal favorite trance albums of all time. I love the quality in production on this cd. The production is so big and raw. You think that you are in a nightclub. I love the female vocals. That is how I imagine all trance music that incorporate vocals into their music. Sabine Ohmes does a great job on "Encore Une Fois", one of trance music's most endearing songs. My favorite tracks on this album has to be "Stay" and "Ecuador" (both the versions of the latter song). I especially adore "Ecuador". I love the delicate melodies . "Stay" in some odd way, has that same club feel that Faithless' "God is a Dj" and "Insomnia" has. The sound is so big and beautiful. Definitely one of my personal favorite trance songs of all time. To be honest though,I am rather tired of "Encore Une Fois". I have heard that song so many times in the club over the years. It got rather old with me. Still it is a really good song. Definitely better than any song by cheesemeister Darude. I definitely need to play catch up with Sash!'s music. I haven't gotten around to hearing what this trance collective has been up to lately. Until then, "It's My Life" still sounds fresh and able to hold up in the five yearrs that I have owned this cd."

"Eurodance icon Sash! first came out with this album back in 96-97, it was a big success. It was commercial but at the same time catchy and good dance muaic. German Sash! always had guest artists on his songs, and often the songs were also sung in other languages. The first single "Encore Une Fois" was the french entry, it was a typical club song with a female that didn't say much more then the title does. Spanish inspired "Eduacor" was single #2 to be released, it was simular and yet another hit. Third single "Stay" was slower then the others and it had more lyrics, "Le Trec" helped him out with that. Sash continued shortly after with a new album called "Life Goes on" in 1998 and yet another one called "Trillenium" both included some decent songs, 4th album "S4 Sash" was a dissapointment though and i didn't hear much from him from that album.Back to "It's my life", apart from the 3 hit songs i mentioned there are many less commerical songs without lyrics on the albums, they have the great "Sash!" sound but they are no chart toppers either. This album however will get me thinking of 1997 when Sash! was all over the charts in Europe. It's a good album a defenite recommendation. Check his upcoming 2 albums aswell."
