CD Reviews

The Tape is long gone....

"Saraya, I think she was married to one of the guys in Tesla at one time, probably not still. Sandi and the guys here put out a great record way back when, just saw it (not sure it is really available- it's like one of those, it's here , but we don't really have it CD's I think--ya gotta jump through hoops to get the good stuff), although you can get any Pink or No Doubt CD at your corner record store. These guys rocked , it was kinda heavy on guitars and Saraya's vocals were top notch. They had a video for Seducer which along with many of the songs were very hook heavy and filled with catchy chorus's. Lions Den is still one of my favorite songs from the CD, even though I havn't heard it in 10 years, damn I shoulda bought the used one I saw about 5 years ago! Someday someone will re issue all those forgotten "hair band's" that shouldn't have been lumped into the awful bunch of Warrants, Trixters, and Danger2. If this is actually available, get it--and love it!"
Wish they had more

"I bought both of Saraya's albums when they came out. Still play 'em regularly today. It's just good ol' American kickass rock and roll! Love the riff on Hitchin' A Ride. I still remember most of the lyrics to both albums. Sandi's voice is fantastic, and the guitar work is sharp. They certainly stand out of the hair band crowd, and I have a lot of hair band CDs. Just wish they had put out more than two albums..."
A completely overlooked band & album

"I bought the debut CD in a bargain "throw-out" bin over 17 years ago for some ridiculously cheap amount and still reckon that that album rates as one of my all time favourites. I still cannot understand why they were not incredibly huge & successful - great songs with huge hooks, impressive musicianship (and a hot looking singer to boot!).

This second album (and sadly the only other album) was every bit as good as the first while evolving the band into a slightly heavier and more complex outfit. The songs have a bit more edge to them while still keeping the huge hooks that have them going through your head for days after. There really is not one bad track on the CD which I think is an incredible achievment. If you have a chance, grab this CD as they are getting harder & harder to find - you will not regret it - one of the best examples of melodic 80's heavy rock ever."
