"Sandra's Vocals are not the Greatest. In fact one might say they are Bad and Annoying at times, and too High-Pitched. But on the other hand that's what makes her Unique. But after as many listens to this album as I've had, you will get used to them. But back to this Album from 1988. IT'S SIMPLY GREAT. In the Vocal Sense, Sandra is weaker than Madonna, BUT in the Quality of Songs/Songwriting and Arrangements she is Sooooooo Much Better. This album Does not have a Single Bad Song. You can Listen to it from First to Last track, and Fully Enjoy Everything in Between. All Songs on this album are Very Catchy, and the Album was Produced by Michael Cretu, the Creator of Enigma, and also Sandra's husband.Songs here Truly Take you into a Magical "Secret Land", and make you forget all your problems. Especially a song like "Vista De Luna" that puts me right on the Tropical Paradise Beach. It's similar to Madonna's "La Isla Bonita".Most songs here are Dance oriented with rich Synthesizers, But there are two Very Beautiful Slower Ballads: "Just Like Diamonds" and "Children of England", and Both are GREAT.BTW The Chorus on "We'll Be Together" Sends Shivers down my spine every time I listen to it.Bottom Line is: This is an AMAZING Album, where all Songs are Potential hits, and you will probably Grow to LOVE them and will listen to them (and maybe even sing) a lot.Make Sure to Check out Sandra's Other Albums, she has about 10.Thank You"

"Besides her accent, it is an enigma why she never entered the American mainstream. Her voice is beautiful although it does carry an accent from her German and French upbringing. With her husband and producer Micheal Cretu (who also sings in her albums), they produce a combination late 80s with a very slight hint of electronica thrown in. Secret Land is an absoulte gem...grab her cds where ever you can find them(and trust me they are hard to find)"
DO Enter that SECRET LAND

"With a maximum of sound-tech effects, a dreamingly travelling mood and, of course, Sandra's innovatively humming and compelling voice, Into A Secret Land, inevitably becomes a sensual exotic music journey. One single word cannot explain the emotions and feelings that Secret Land evokes inside your soul and mind. The composer and producer of this album is Sandra's husband Michael Cretu, the brainchild/producer/composer of Enigma. Therefore this album is so haunting and beautiful. What's more, It runs so smoothly from track to track, leaving you actually dreaming while listening to it. Listening to tracks like La Vista de luna feels like lying under a red moon on a sandy Medditerranean beach or dancing under the burning Greek sun on a summer afternoon. Heaven can wait is like chasing the waves crashing on the shore of a tropic island. However, in my opinion, the most beatiful moment in this album is certainly the last track, Children of England, which is a song about children running away from their homes on their attempt to discover life. and it's the perfect way to close this album. And this is just the tip of the iceberg of what Into a Secret Land is about. Simply one of the best albums made during the 80's."

"For all of you that know Sandra from her husband M. Cretu's project Enigma...do yourself a favor and listen to possibly the most incredible female talent in the world today. This was the 1st CD I purchased from her, and since then I am hooked big time!
To describe Secret Land? Several words come to mind. Moody, entrancing, happy, romantic, dancable. He voice is like nothing you have ever heard. It's not really stong, but more like a breathy velvet, with much passion and emotion. The songs are very different, and well written( her husband writes and composes and produces) catchy, and memorable.
It's a shame she did not make it big here in the States in the 80's, but a new Cd in due in the last part of 2006. I CANNOT stress this enough. Buy this CD, or anything from Sandra. You will be speachless when you hear her angelic pipes. She is truly amazing!"
