Amazing work by Sandra and Michael Cretu

"Actually, I am surprised to see this album have a low rating here on amazon.com. I happened to stumble across Sandra as I was checking out some of the 80s hits that I have listened to when I was a kid. Sandra released three albums during the 80s: "Long Play", "Mirrors" (this album) and "Into a secret land" - all these albums were big hits, not only in Europe but also in India and Japan.
Her first album was a big hit that rocketed her to the top of the charts. Her second album "Mirrors" is very similar in style to her first & I thoroughly enjoyed every song of it - it was an amazing nostalgic experience as I was listening through the songs. But many people seem to have a negative opinion about this album - but I can understand why they feel that way, because they are probably not like the typical 80s Europop freaks like I and my friends happen to be. If you are one, then I strongly recommend you to get this album - trust me, you will never regret it."
An underrated gem of the 80's Pop

"Sandra is famous in Latinamerica for the 1st Album. Good production, good sound, good perfomance, good music, what is the problem with this album? Mispronounced words?. Today MTV has launched a lot of american plastic artist pop qualifed as great singers that i don't know what are singing (and terrible voices!). Songs like Don't Cry, Hi Hi Hi, Innocent Love and Mirror of Love are excellents tracks. The music with the touch of Michael Cretu is fantastic, great play of the synthesizers, great rhythms, great melody and the sweet voice of Sandra. Madonna had the support of MTV, publicity and songs with scandals. This never was the style of Sandra. A copy of Maddona?. "True blue" was edited the same year. Please show me what song of "Mirrors" is a copy of Madonna first album or Like a Virgin. The point is that the two albums have the style of the 80's Pop, rich in electronic music. Hi,Hi,Hi a copy of Paula Abdul??. Her First album "Forever Your Girl" was edited in 1988!. Who copy who?. Sorry but this album is a really masterpiece of the 80's Pop. Maybe it's not the best album of Sandra and maybe is better "True Blue", but it's much better that the most of '00s, pop albums."
