CD Reviews

Keeps your head moving

"I enjoy music but find it hard to put my feelings in words, so this review is going to sound a bit silly: awesome rhythms and beats, smooth transition between tracks, simply terrific dance music, makes long commutes exciting, as long as you keep the foot steady on the pedal. After blasting this music in my car, I always arrive at my destination feeling like I'm ready to take on the world. For me, it works like caffeine."
Funkin You All Night

"This sixth release of OM's San Francisco Sessions sees a return to what made the series great from the beginning: Funky, Jackin, San Fran House that moves your body and takes your mind on a trip.

Disc 1, mixed by Inland Knights, does an excellent job showcasing what makes this duo the power producers and DJs that they are. Hailing from the UK, the music is upbeat and sexy, yet still funky and underground. Inland Knights rarely puts out a CD or tours the USA, so don't miss out on this one.

Disc 2, mixed by Oliver Desmet, is the first official CD release from this under the radar superpower. Oliver first caught my attention with his groovy jackin house records, amazing live DJ performances, and non-label mixed CDs. This set perfectly introduces the listner to his style of what is undeniably peak hour music at its best.

The only complaint I will offer is that a few of the tracks that are included may be recognized from previous OM releases. Perhaps more disappointing, both discs use Alexander East's "Feel Me" and Oliver Desmet/Oriental Funk Stew's "Hot on Your Trail". They are different mixes on each disc, so it is not too much of a distraction. Enjoy!!"
