"This is an awesom compilation of Sammy's older work. It covers everything starting with the Montrose days (1973) and stops before Standing Hampton (1981). It really picks out the true hits from the days when Sammy was young and just starting to leave his impresions on the world. Even if your are not sure if you like Sammy Hagar, this album will get you wanting all of his albums. If you want the complete greatest hits collection, think about getting "Unboxed". This starts with Standing Hampton and takes you through the pre-Van Halen era."
Sammy at his best

"Sammy started rockin many years ago with a band called Montrose. One of the first songs Sammy ever wrote was on this album. That song was Bad Motorscooter. Sammy went on to play with bassist Bill Church also of Montrose and formed the band simply called Sammy Hagar. He was a local artist from the LA area and didn't get much airplay anywhere except in Saint Louis. One of the countries first FM rock stations KSHE 94.7 gave Sammy airplay. Saint Louis and Sammy have had a great relationship ever since. I am a 40 year old white male from Saint Louis and although I liked Van Hagar Sammy was at the height of his career with the release of Standing Hampton. This album is Sammy at his best and as Sammy would say " There's only one way to rock" and brother this is it. Sammy if you happen to come across this review I just want to say Keep Rockin and I love you man."
Just freakin' great.

"I have to say, if you grew up in the 80's and liked Sammy, you definitely need this album. It's got his best works outide of "that band he sang for in the 90's". You get the pure Sammy attitude on Red & Trans Am...plus a few really great songs that I'd forgotten; Plain Jane & I've Done Everything For You. It made me feel like a teenager again...and I loved it!"
80's music will never die-it just gets respectable

"Unashamed 80's rock about cars, chicks, booze, and of course the color red. "This Planets on Fire (Burn in Hell)" is worth the price of admission alone. The opening riff instantly transported me back to my teen years. My hair grew and my face broke out!"
