Missing the "grit" of the originals, but still interesting

"While this collection of remixes by various mix masters is energetic, it does seem to lack the power that made Salt-n-Pepa one of the most distinctly original trios to grace popular music. In a field dominated by male rappers, the group had a string of successful chart toppers in the early late 80's and early 90's. Their "greatest" are here in significantly altered and revamped forms and worthy of a trip down memory lane."
