Beautiful Renaissance Music by a Master Composer

"Absolutely beautiful choral music with accompanyment by a brass ensemble with original instruments by a master composer. De Lassus' compositions are very rich in polyphony, not necessarily as antiphonal as say Gabrielli, but sweeter and richer than any musician of the era, save for Thomas Tallis.
This is a gem of a recording and very highly recommended for anyone interested in renaissance period or choral music. Take a listen also to other recordings of de Lassus. He was a prodigy and a genius, relatively obscure as compared to the popular composers that may come to mind and only a small percentage of his music has been recorded so far, but his popularity will soon grow again."
