"The truth is that I love hip-hop; I just hate the cursing and moral bankruptcy of most of that secular stuff. I've gotten by listening to Will Smith, but for some reason I was curious as to what Christians had to offer. After a bit of searching, I eventually chose Sackcloth Fashion as my first foray into Christian hip-hop. After a few months, I picked up the CD. This is as dope as it gets, kids. Every track kills - but the one track which had the most effect on me was "Sibling Rivalry" - you MUST hear this track! The production! Don't get me started! Some secular artists could learn from these dudes - peep "Pulling A Fast One", "The Guest List" and especially "Rising Sons (World Beat Remix)" (that beat is sick and so is the bass) as examples to see why. These guys prove that hip-hop does NOT have to be dirty to be good (though Will Smith already proved that). However, these guys do something more - they address matters of the soul. BUY THIS CD!"
Disturbing...ly good

"I only have to say this: "Liquid Demon", Family Ties" and "Sibling Rivalry" are so disturbingly graphic and straight-to-the-point that one has to believe they passed through these experiences... And that's probably what happened since God work in many strange ways.Keep throwing those rhimes In the name of the Divine!"

"Never...I mean never have i heard a christian hip-hop/rap group with such speed and skill. There God given abilities are evident throughout the CD but especially on tracks like "pulling a fast one" and "dang". If you're into music filled with innovation and diverse talent.....BUY THIS NOW!"

"At first listen, this album won't hit most people. Until you start to listen this album closely. The beats grow on you, and rhymes are alot more intelligent than what is out today. Like the BEP's (true hip-hop fans know who I am speaking of), Sackcloth has to grow on before you see the beauty of the music. Many of the songs are a no-holds barred approach to seeing the issues facing the youth of America from a Christian veiwpoint. A warning to the faint-hearted, some of these songs are GRAPHIC!! Although by no means profane, many of these tracks will disturb alot of listeners, since these guys are often graphic when laying lyrics on issues. Imagine if Eminem actually examined his own demons instead of glorifying them and claiming that he doesn't need to change. That's the idea behind "Liquid Demons", a track in which a bottle of liquor asserts itself as the ruler of an alcoholic, forcing him to abuse his family and destroy his life. The song is smack in the face to Slim Shady's infamous "Drug Song". "Sibling Rivalry" is a song about a teen abortion from the fetus' veiwpoint. The track takes you from the decision for the abortion to the point the fetus is prematuerly delivered, and ultimately killed. How many groups would dare take this issue on in such a graphic manner. My favor has to be "Family Ties", where Sackcloth shows domestic abuse from the POV of both abuser and the abused. This album may not hit you at first, but give at listen, and it is sure to rival whatever garbage the secular world is releasing."
