"I've purchased several "thunderstorm" CDs & MP3s, looking to fill my need for a thunderstorm fix in winter, when they are rare here in the mid-Atlantic area. I enjoy sitting out on my balcony during severe thunderstorms, feeling the wrath of the storm and that hair-raising, OMG-am-I-about-to-get-FRIED feeling. This is the only one I've found that comes close to that experience, wind noise & all. Everything else seems like wimpy 'rumbling in the distance.' Don't know if this is conducive to relaxation or sleep, but it's definitely entertaining to have cranked up on an otherwise dull winter night. All I need now is an intermittent strobe light. Highly recommended for weather geeks."
