Metz | Boston | 02/28/2009 (3 out of 5 stars) "If you like Rupert Holmes' other albums such as Widescreen, Partners in Crime, etc. then you'll like the songs on Singles. However, the 2008 Japenese import that I bought has very poor sound quality. I would liken the sound quality to listening to the album over a grocery store's loudspeaker system. Don't know if this is due to the way the album was recorded or just the way that it was remastered (I'm guessing the later is the case), but it just sounds....ugghh! It's especially frustrating seeing as the CD of Widescreen, an older album, sounds perfectly fine. I'm even more miffed because I paid a lot for this import.
Bottom line: Songs=4 stars Sound quality=1.5 stars" |
