This is the First Time at Low Price for Runrig. The Album Contains their First Three Hit Singles plus the Tracks which Featured on the E.p.'s Singles. Runrig Are Without Doubt Currently the Most Popular Band to Come Out of Scotland.
"This is a good selection of great songs by a great band. But (apart from the fact that this CD is a cheap cash-in on their success by their former record company) if you are looking for a good overview of Runrig's songs, you'd do better to look for a copy of "Long Distance", which contains a selection of songs by their own fans, and which is sanctioned by the group itself. It lacks two or three songs from this album, but adds many more great ones, seventeen in total. "Beat the Drum" misses several, like "Alba" and a live rendition of "Skye", that moved me a lot."
Not as good as long distance

"most of the runrig c.d.'s are individually better than this as it IS an easy way for the record company to make extra money from the band. There is a new c.d. out now with the new lead singer, Bruce Guthro, a French-Canadian. He has a superb voice and complements the band. BUY IT !!!"
A very good CD

"This is one of Runrig's most recent CD's. It's a very good recording. I wouldn't give it 5 stars as I would all of their previous releases, but it is well worth picking up. Runrig's rendition of "Loch Lomond" is one of the best renditions of that traditional Scottish piece that I've ever heard. You may be able to find the CD at a local music store that has a fine selection of Celtic music. I found it here in the DC area for under $16, which is a great price for an import. Some of their more recent CD's like MARA and CUTTER AND THE CLAN can also be purchased in the USA at a reasonable price."
A collection of hard to find single b-sides.

"Well the title dosent really sum this CD up properly. First of all, if you have never heard Runrig before, then I would suggest Albums such as "Once In A Lifetime" or "The Stamping Ground" before this one.Don't get me wrong, it is a very good record by an amazing band and it is evident on each of these tracks, but......As is the case in the record industry, Runrig had finished their contract with Chrysalis/EMI, and the record company released several "Best Of" or "Scotland's Spirit" type compilations that did not allways show off the best side of the band. This is probably more for the collector of Runrig music that wants to hear songs that were only available for a short time as single b-sides.However, I can never fault Runrig, the music is allways extreamly good, but in this case I would recomend the other CD's mentioned above first."
