"One of the few bright spots to emerge in 2004. This album is full of great hooks, melodies and driving classic rock riffs. Marc Pinanskys vocals will remind you of Robin Zander and Joe Jackson. Mike Orrs bass will conjure up images of John Enwistle and Bruce Thomas. Roger Knights jaw dropping drums will remind you of Keith Moon, Neil Peart, Mitch Mitchell etc. It is a MUST to see these guys live, you wont beleive your eyes, and EARS."

Old style with a new twist

"Just got the CD without ever hearing a track off it. I read the reviews from Rolling Stone, and checked out what the buzz was all about. You are not gonna waste your money here. Mark Pinnansky and crew do not dissapoint. From the opening track of "So Sorry" to "Bypass", the boys rock. I would like to catch a show live, as they are touted with an excellent live show. If your looking for polished sounds, look elsewhere But if your looking for that raw in your face rock, with minimal production techniques, this is the place to go."
Keep on Runner in a Free World

"Runner and the Thermodynamics, a new and exciting band whose ass kicking guitar riffs, powerfull drum lines, and wicked bass lines and solos are sure to leave you begging for more. The guitar and bass combo of Mark Pinansky and Mike Oor mesh together on a level virtually unprecedented. Pinansky, keeping rythym and ripping the occasinal solo, also allows for Mike Oor's amazing bass to shine on with his mind blowing bass solos. Roger Knight, the bands military fatigue clad, cymbal smashing drummer, is one for the ages. Drawing raves for both musical ability and stage prescence as well as being called the "next Keith Moon," Knight tears through shows, and drum equipment, with raw intensity and reckless abandon; all while snarling at the audience. While the band openly accepts comparisons to some of classic rocks greats, i.e. The Who, Grand Funk, etc., I wouldn't be so quick to categorize this trio, buy their just released studio album or catch a show on their current national tour and see what I mean."
