"Ruggiero Ricci's "live" performances are without equal! In this day of computer editing it makes one think of the true greatness of Ricci! These recitals are in Ricci's absolute "prime" with jaw dropping execution! The Town Hall recital ('46) is completely unaccompanied with every note on display.Ricci is unbelievable!!
(Note: Paganini's 24th caprice pizzicato variation is done without the bow!!...I've seen this in his Carnegie recital in the 1970's!!)His Carnegie Hall recital '47 is just as amazing!Take note on his arrangement of Chasings'Etude and the Wieniawski
Staccato Etude as you'll never hear anything close to Ricci's. Sit back....put your seatbelt on and be prepared to hear violin virtuosity at it's best as Ruggiero Ricci goes "To Town"!!!!"
