Produced by Jorge Harada, Live From Austin Texas is a collection of previously released tunes, performed live in that jumpin', rockin' honky tonk style for which Ruby Dee and the Snakehandlers are so well known, as well as a few new tunes to appease the band's many fans. With front woman singer/songwriter Ruby Dee and guitarist Jorge Harada backed by native Texan Jordan Teitelbaum on drums and hep cat Kevin Fox (of Deuce Coupe) on doghouse bass, this series of recordings from the Continental Club and classic Texas honky tonk Roadhouse Rags puts the band squarely in the center of what makes Texas music so satisfying to the soul: its' live dynamism.
