"Roy C has always given his fans an excellent collection of timeless music. For I'm living proof that his music is timeless, I'm a second generation fan. There are many great comtemporary blues artists, Tyrone Davis, Willie Clayton, but then, there is Roy C. Not only does Roy C bring a variety of rhythms and tunes to his songs but he brings many different messages to his fans. And many of these messages can be heard in his latest CD, I'm Working Hard For You, Baby.
Roy's fans know he is a great storyteller. He sings about the down-to-earth truth concerning the same old issues that face us today as they did yesterday. If you like his message in "Open Letter To The President" in his ... and Soul CD then you will love the message he tells in his song "Out Of ALL The Things I Could Have Been" in his I'm Working Hard For You, Baby CD. This is one of the most beautifully written songs that I have heard in a long time. The compelling message in the song could not be far from the truth for many of our today's men, young and old.
For you listeners that are romantic at heart, if you enjoy listening to many of his love ballads such as "After Loving You" and "I'll Never Leave You Lonely", you will also find great pleasure in listening to "You Turned My World Around" and "I Working Hard For You, Baby". Both songs are on his latest CD.
What Roy C did when he sung one of his oldies but goodies,"Shot Gun Wedding" was to bring a little humor to the word Blues. Well he does the same thing with two of his songs on this CD, I'm Gonna Sneak Back Home" and "Living For The Weekend".
And of course Roy C always leaves a little something for his broken-hearted fans. Why this has what made ROY C, himself, A CLASSIC. If you can relate to his songs "I Found A Man In My Bed" and "I'm Gonna Love Somebody Else's Woman"(both on his ... and Soul CD), then you will relate to two of his songs on his latest CD, "Going Back Home To My Mother" and "Somebody Has Taken My Love Away".
