"I'm a soundtrack nut so when MOJO magazine recently published it's favorite soundtracks I scoured the list for additions to my collection. I had seen the movie, "Get Carter", years before and loved Michael Caine's performance but not paid much attention to the music. Based solely on MOJO's recommendation, I bought the soundtrack. Although many of the "pop" tunes like "Love is a four-letter word" are so dated that they are a little difficult to appreciate, the moody score and bits of dialogue from this raw film make it all balance out and work together seemlessly. If you're a fan of this era you'll dig Roy Budd's contribution. I love this soundtrack and keep it, along with "The Ipcress File", in constant rotation."
