"Whether you're a fan of Roy Acuff, old time country music, or vintage live radio, you need this CD! In the days before niche programming that drove a wedge between country, bluegrass and old time gospel music, they joyfully played side by side and this series of wonderful CD's gives us a glimpse of that time. You could choose any of the four volumes available and get a great selection of songs, cornball comedy by the Duke of Paducah, and fine playing by the Smokey Mountain Boys which included Bashful Brother Oswald and ex-Bluegrass Boy Howdy Forrester; but this one gets my vote due to two of my favorite Acuff classics: "Don't Let Your Sweet Love Die" and "Wreck On The Highway". Each volume has four fifteen minute shows opening with the RC Theme, many testimonials for RC Cola, a comedy routine, a fiddle, banjo, or harmonica feature and a gospel song. Mighty real. Mighty live. Mighty fine."
