"I originally had bought this on cassette when it first came out. I listen to the songs now and realize that there are some really great songs here. You have big guitars of Joyride, hotblooded and Souldeep: the pop rock sound of Fading like a flower, Knocking on every door, Physical Fascination, and Things will never be the same; Acoustic ballads of Spending my time, Water colors in the rain, and Perfect day. The voice of singer Marie Fredriksson is in fine form throughout the CD. So if your a fan of their hit songs: "The look", "It must have been love", "Dressed for success" or "Listen to your heart" then check this out. You won't be disappointed."
One of the greatest albums of the 90s.

"JOYRIDE is a great pop album and has truly stood the test of time nearly 18 years after its release in 1991. It is a testament to the songwriting ability of Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson that that any of the songs on the album could have been released as a single. The duo released an album of very high quality with very few misses. I am still amazed how well this album sounds and what a tremendous vocalist Ms. Fredriksson is.
Some favourite tracks are:
THINGS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. Should have been the first single as it is the strongest track on the whole album. Certainly a power ballad but it is kept in check by the sad vocal and the wondrous spanish giutar accompaniement.
WATERCOLOURS IN THE RAIN. My favourite song by Roxette. Just a beautiful tune and very emotional. My only gripe is that the song is over before it really gets going.
SOUL DEEP. An earlier song that was added to this album and boy what a powerhouse song this is. Should have been another single contender.
Other favouriets are SMALL TALK, KNOCKING ON EVERY DOOR, JOYRIDE, DO YOU GET EXCITED?
I was disappointed that they released what I consider weaker songs as singles. THE BIG L, FADING LIKE A FLOWER, CHURCH OF YOUR HEART are ok but nothing really special. One of my least favourite tracks is SPENDING MY TIME. Sounds like ABBA ten years later and it is very hackneyed. Something that Celine Dion might sing. But overall, I get a lot of enjoyment from the album and I still love it nearly two decades later."

"What can I say? I adore Roxette to this day, they just never get old! Their 80's albums are still their best work and are widely known, and for good reason. Though they may be pop, you can't help but hear the songs on the radio and tap your feet. You probably still know the words don't you?
Great album. Tracks include "Joyride" "Run To You" and "Hot Blooded""
