CD ReviewsELVIS ALTER'EGO SHINES AGAIN!! Patrick Hughes | Montreal, Quebec Canada | 08/23/2000 (4 out of 5 stars) "Just received this excellent cd this morning by Ronnie McDowell, what a terrific album! For anyone who enjoys gospel music, this cd is for you! Ever since his tribute to Elvis in 1977 (The King Is Gone) I have been a fan of Ronnie McDowell, seen him in concert several times, own 6 of his albums. This cd however rates among his best. His renditions of "In the Garden", "Peace in the Valley", "If We Never Meet Again", among others, will melt your soul. This cd rates among one of the best Gospel albums out there, along side the albums of Elvis Presley, Jim Reeves, and Mahalia Jackson. Only knock on this great cd is the length and number of songs. Common Curb records this is the year 2000, 10 songs & 30 minutes of recordings doesn't cut it anymore, otherwise this Ronnie McDowell release would merit 5 star rating. "Great Gospel Songs" by Ronnie McDowell will make a great addition to any music lovers collection." I think that this is one of the best CDs every recorded. Patrick Hughes | 08/03/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "I personally prefer gospel music to about any other type of music in the world, and Ronnie McDowell is the one person who can sing with true feelings in his voice, I love Elvis Presley and thought that there would never be another in this world who could compare to him in singing gospel, but this recording is one of the best in the world. Ronnie has really touched my heart with this CD and I am truly looking forward to more of his recordings."
