CD ReviewsBIG MUSIC FROM BIG MUSICIAN Rene Gonzalez | Bogotá, Colombia | 01/14/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "The first LP of Ronnie on Phase 4 Stereo was "Melody and Percussion for two pianos", London SLP 44007 in early's 60's. The music of percussion was on the top and this record had many top charts of that time. Was the begine of the Phase 4 Stereo, and the sound very good for the moment.
The second one, "All-time piano hits", recorded after, in 1966, catalogue number SLP 44090, the sound is 10/10, -the sound engineer (Arthur Bannister) knew how to record the pianos at the best!-, with a big orchestra, all are best of the best. The sound of Aldrich is the sound OF PERFECTION! The next CD will be "For young Lovers" and "Where the sun is" in Vocalion, soon here on Amazon, and the fabulous "Christmas with Ronnie Aldrich", a gem of 1964 with the London Festival Orch. Congratulations to Vocalion for these releases." |
