ALMOST PERFECT alain robert | ST-HUBERT,QUÉBEC | 07/03/2010 (4 out of 5 stars) "It says 1971-1993,but it is in fact 1971-1989 because it stops with two tracks of STEEL WHEELS.This is a very good overview of those years with songs from all the studio albums.Personnaly,i would have left off FOOL TO CRY and EMOTIONAL RESCUE and replace them with LITTLE T AND A,ALL DOWN THE LINE and BEFORE THEY MAKE ME RUN.I guess they didn't want to put any songs with KEITH singing. For those who never heard of the STONES(yes it's possible),this is a good sampler.I like the booklet information with the history of the songs and commentaries added by MICK and KEITH.How about a quick history jump back in the discography of those years? You can skip GOATS HEAD SOUP(1973),IT'S ONLY ROCK AND ROLL(1974),BLACK AND BLUE(1976),EMOTIONAL RESCUE(1980),UNDERCOVER OF THE NIGHT(1983) and DIRTY WORK(1986) easily, but a fan absolutely needs STICKY FINGERS(1971),EXILE(1972),SOME GIRLS(1978),TATOO YOU(1981) and STEEL WHEELS(1989).Now ,let me say in conclusion that i hope the group will make another original album ,because i was surprized by the quality work on BIGGER BANG(2005)."
