"This band has no equal. Period. No band puts more effort into the creation of great songs. No band puts more energy into their live shows. Buy this - you'll wonder how music this good has escaped your ears for this long. You'll tell your friends about the band. Then you'll see them live. THAT'S when you'll realize what you've been missing."

"Prior to moving to America, I had heard nothing of the Refreshments of latterly Roger Clyne. I even watched King of the Hill unaware of where the theme music originated....then one day whilst searching for the Gin Blossoms I came across both the Refreshments and Roger Clyne .... This cd combines the best of Roger's whole career...the pick of his days in the Refreshments plus the best of his solo career. Counterclockwise and Banditos standout head and shoulders above anything else but the rest of the time the cd just rolls on through foot tapping song after foot tapping song . For me track 8 ...Mexico steals the show.
Highly recommended

The greatest live band makes a live album

"If you have never seen Roger Clyne in concert, you really should seek him out. The guy performs like nobody else. You are getting at least two hours of music, stories and just one heck of a time. I recently saw him perform in concert in support of this album. I figured that the show would probably be him playing the same setlist on this album, wrong! Roger played request after request. The guy is about giving to the fans. This fantastic album is able to give people a taste of what one of his special concerts are like. Surrounded by great musicians and the most loyal fans in the world, Roger and the boys deliver! This album includes a lot of his Peacemaker stuff, but also a lot of his Refreshment's material. These guys rule, period!"

"I am not a fan of live albums but I'll make an exception for this one. I wanted to get another Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers album and finally decided to give Live at Billy Bobs a try. Why did I wait so long? This album is great."
Best live album in years

"Aboyt a year ago, my nephew played the Refreshments for me, instantly I was hooked. since then, i have taken in everything that is available and have not been disappointed. The latest installment is by all means the best live album I have heard in a long time. The music is as near perfect and the vocals are exceptioonally clean. The only hitch is in the vocals on Banditos, the song sounds a little rushed, also, i would have loved for Interstate to have been on the album.
Why this band has not blown up is completely amazing to me. The lyric content is for the most part uplifting. The beat is incredibly catchy and with the exception of just a few songs, I have never heard a bad Roger Clyne song.
I would also suggest that anyone who likes this music go see them live. I recently saw them (ironically at Billy Bob's Texas) and it was the best show i have seen in many years.
