"Don't let the cheezy picture on the cover put you off. This is pure Unreconstructed Rockabilly groovin! Not a kissy belt-buckle polisher in the bunch! It's mid-to-late 'Fifties rockabilly from Phoenix, Arizona. Al Casey is everywhere on this collection. Jerry and Wayne Newton (from "Lew King's Rangers" TV show) play some very good steel guitar and do some not-so-good singing and songwriting on a track from 1954.If you were in Phoenix in the late 'Fifties and listened to KPHO and KRIZ, you'll recognize the names of most of these artists. Al Casey's guitar is the sound of the desert. This cd rates "5 horseshoes" on my ranch!"
