"Are you wondering what this album is? You've never seen the cover before? Wondering why the cover art is different to the version you've seen or have?
This is the original LTBR album by the worlds greatest rock band. AC/DC recorded all there albums up untill Highway To Hell at ALBERT studios in Sydney, Australia. And this is actualy the 4th album they recorded, way back in 1977. The release date is the same year as the LTBR album that was released world wide, but the WW version was a few months later being released after some disagreements with Atlantic over not wanting to release it, and also not liking the track CRABSODY IN BLUE. Which some beleive is a sequl sort of to THE JACK. They beleived the song was too dirty for them to market. But by todays standards, it is pretty tame, it's just another song about having crabs! So the track was taken away from the world release and replaced with ROCKER which is now on 3 albums (TNT,Australian), (Let There Be Rock, World), (Dirty Deeds, World) for some reason. And also from Dirty Deeds (Austrlian) it had the track PROBLEM CHILD included aswell.
But here is the original recording of LET THERE BE ROCK. One of AC/DC's greatest albums, with the daring song about a big bad woman Bon Scott new that has become one of the greatest rock songs of all time, and a rock n roll legend. Paced with AC/DC's fastest paced Bon era album, surrounded by some of the hardest hitting hard rock songs to ever emerege fromt he 70's.
Crabsody In Blue is the only song that isnt rock. It's kind of a slow blues number, almost sounds like a country lick that Angus puts over the top, but of coarse, as AC/DC do so well, it rocks by the end of the song. Not full on, but that special, un-boring AC/DC magic they construct so well.
For you international fans. I would only recomend this album to you if you really wanna hear CRABSODY IN BLUE, and dont wanna *cough*down*cough*load*Cough it or something. OR if you just want it for your AC/DC collection and feel your life will not be complete without the original LTBR album from Australia/NZ.
Let There Be Rock is truely one of the greatest rock masterpeice's of all time.
